Gabe Martinez believed in people.

Whether coaching youth sports, mentoring apprentices, leading his company, serving the industry through MCA of New Mexico, or simply encouraging those around him, Gabe invested his time, energy, and heart into helping others succeed.

A proud Navy veteran, union pipefitter, licensed mechanical contractor business owner, and two-time President of MCA of New Mexico. Gabe spent his life builidng more than projects and businesses—he built opportunities.

Though Jack’s Mechanical Solutions, the company he founded with his wife Liz in 2004, Gabe became known not only as an industry leader, but as a mentor, teacher, and advocate for the skilled trades. Many who worked alongside him considered him a trusted friend and father figure.

The GABE Legacy Fund honors that lifelong committment to mentorship, workforce development, and service by creating opportunities for future generations of tradespeople across New Mexico.
